18,000 sq. ft. State-of-the-Art Facility Now Pre-Leasing in America’s Most Turnkey UAS Test Range

The City of Pendleton, owner and operator of the Pendleton UAS Test Range (PUR), has officially broken ground on Flex Hangar III, a new 18,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility located in the heart of the Phase IV UAS Industrial Park. Now open for pre-leasing, this three-bay hangar is the latest infrastructure investment supporting the continued growth of PUR.
Purpose-built to support the evolving needs of commercial aerospace and defense customers, Flex III will offer:

  • Three 6,000 square foot bays, each with a private entrance.
  • 60-foot bi-fold aircraft doors.
  • 12-foot delivery truck doors.
  • Mezzanine space for storage or workspace.
  • 1,000 square feet of climate-controlled office space per bay.
  • Access to 10 Gbps fiber.
  • Two private restrooms per unit.
  • Radiant heated floors with energy-efficient ceiling fans.
  • Taxiway Golf access and private gated entry.

“Flex Hangar III will be our third large hangar designed and built to support our growing UAS customer base and will be the first permanent structure located in our new UAS Industrial Park,” said Wayne Green, Airport Engineer.
The facility is strategically located in the 160-acre UAS Industrial Park, with close proximity to core PUR infrastructure, test pads, and shovel-ready parcels for future expansion.
“The Pendleton UAS Test Range has become an important economic driver for the City of Pendleton and the surrounding region,” said Steve Chrisman, Economic Development & Airport Director. “Each new hangar we construct attracts new companies, commerce, and investment into Oregon.”
The hangar is expected to be completed in January of 2026, and pre-leasing is now available for qualified aerospace, defense, and UAS companies looking to establish operations at one of the most turnkey, business-friendly UAS test ranges in the United States
