Our Mission

The City of Pendleton Transportation's mission is to deliver sustainable public transportation that connects citizens to jobs, services, recreation activities, and the community in a convenient, consistent, and safe manner.

 

Why Ride Pendleton Transit?

Pendleton Transit has Safe, clean, and free-to-low-cost transportation options. Pendleton Transit is the overarching program that contains several public services, some of which are described in more detail further down this page.

Our Services

The City of Pendleton Transit offers programs such as the Let'er Bus Transit (Deviated Fixed Route Bus Program), various taxi ticket programs, general public taxi tickets, a daily van service for the general public, parks & recreation summer inter-park rides, and an aquatic center summer transport. Some of the previously listed services are contracted by Elite Taxis, Inc. Program restrictions are based on ODOT grant funding sources.

 

Transportation Committee Information

The Transportation Committee is an advisory committee consisting of community volunteers that meets quarterly to provide direction on transportation programs. The public is welcome to attend. Agendas and meeting minutes can be found here. A list of committee members can be found here.

Reasonable Modification for ADA

The City of Pendleton will make all reasonable modifications to policies and programs to ensure that people with disabilities have an equal opportunity to enjoy all agency programs, services, and activities. Exceptions would include modifications that:

  • Would fundamentally alter the program.
  • Would create a direct threat of significant risk to the health or safety of others.
  • Are not necessary to enable an individual to receive the service.

In order to comply with 49 CFR Section 21.9(d), The City of Pendleton has posted information for the public regarding the Title VI obligations and protections against discrimination afforded to the public by Title VI on the City of Pendleton website. The City of Pendleton has also posted the following notice of compliance with Title VI, which is visible to the public at City Hall and directs the public to the City of Pendleton website and to the appropriate phone number to inquire for more information. Additionally, this information is available upon request. The City of Pendleton operates its programs and services without regard to race, color, and national origin in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Any person who believes she or he has been aggrieved by any unlawful discriminatory practice under Title VI may file a complaint with the City of Pendleton.
