Procurement Description
Remount and refurbishment of a 2015 North Star ambulance. The proposed contract amount is $221,704.00.
Sole Source Determination
The City has determined that Braun NW Inc. is the only reasonably available source capable of performing this work because:
- Braun NW Inc. is the original manufacturer of the ambulance module being refurbished.
- The company possesses the specialized knowledge, components, and experience necessary to complete the remount of the existing North Star ambulance box.
- The City has an established working relationship with Braun NW Inc. and has received reliable service from the company on previous projects.
- Braun NW Inc.'s proximity to the City also provides operational and logistical advantages for transporting the vehicle during the refurbishment process.
Based upon these findings, the City has determined that competitive solicitation is not practicable and intends to award the contract as a sole source procurement.

Comment / Protest Period
Any person or firm wishing to comment on or protest this proposed sole source procurement must submit a written protest to the City. Written protests must be received no later than seven (7) calendar days from the date of this notice.
A protest must include:
- The protester's name, address, telephone number, and email;
- The grounds for the protest;
- Evidence demonstrating that another vendor is capable of providing the required goods or services;
- The relief requested.
