The City of Pendleton is accepting applications for a Building Maintenance Technician. This position is responsible for journeyman level work in construction & carpentry, performs preventive maintenance and operation of complex city equipment. Performs skilled manual and technical tasks in HVAC, plumbing, pools, maintenance and related work.
High School Diploma (or GED) is required plus some specialized training in building technology, maintenance management, or closely related field. Degree from a trade school or community college or graduate of apprenticeship program preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in building technology, maintenance management, HVAC, electrical maintenance and operations, swimming pool and spa maintenance, carpentry, construction, concrete work or closely related field. Certification in HVAC and boiler systems required within 1 year of hire.
The position has advancement potential for candidate possessing the right skills, qualifications, and aptitude. The salary range is $3,843 - $4,729 per month DOE plus excellent benefits.
