The City of Pendleton is hiring a Building Maintenance Technician to perform skilled maintenance, repair, and construction work across City facilities. This role handles HVAC, plumbing, pool systems, carpentry, and general building upkeep, while also supporting seasonal operations at the Aquatic Center and Ice Rink.
Key Duties

Perform preventative maintenance on building systems, pool and ice rink systems, equipment, and facilities.

Assist with construction, repairs, concrete work, and project planning.

Maintain maintenance software, safety records, and compliance tasks.

Support pool and ice rink seasonal operations and equipment upkeep.
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required plus some specialized training in building technology, maintenance management or closely related field.

A degree from a trade school or community college or graduate of apprenticeship program preferred.

Minimum 2 years of experience required in building technology, maintenance management, carpentry, construction, concrete work or closely related field.

Experience in HVAC, electrical maintenance and operations, swimming pool maintenance, preferred, but not required.

Valid driver’s license; ability to meet security and CJIS requirements.

Ability to obtain HVAC/boiler and pool operation certifications after hire.
Salary range is $4,450 - $5,477 per month DOE plus excellent benefits. Position has advancement potential for a candidate possessing the right skills, qualifications, and aptitude.
