The City of Pendleton is accepting applications for a Senior Account Clerk position to perform accounts payable functions in the Finance Department. Receives all invoices and purchase orders for accounting and payment, confirms proper account coding and authorization. Enters payables into computer system. Prepares weekly check runs for payment of accounts payable and processes voids as needed.  Tracks invoices for timely payment.  Receives credit card statements and determines department responsible for charges and matches receipts to the statement before processing payment.  Runs weekly and monthly reports of payables for audit records. Must have excellent customer service skills. Two (2) years’ experience in bookkeeping or accounting required, preferably in a public or nonprofit agency with an accrual or modified accrual accounting system. AA degree in accounting preferred, or any satisfactory combination of education, training and experience.
