The Library is looking for individuals available to work on a substitute (as needed) basis as a Library Clerk. This position assists library patrons with checking materials in and out, issues library cards, and answers patron questions. Requires good people skills, ability to communicate effectively, precision in alphabetizing, ability to type and use a computer, and physical ability to lift, bend, and move books and materials. The ability to speak Spanish is preferred as well as prior public service. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. There are no guaranteed hours or the requirement to take the shift if called. We want to develop a list of individuals who would be willing to work if the need arises.
