The City of Pendleton Public Library is seeking a friendly, reliable intern to assist with daily library operations. This temporary part‑time role includes helping at the circulation desk, checking items in and out, issuing library cards, shelving materials, and providing general customer service. Interns may also support youth programs, lead a teen library podcast to help promote programming, assist with preparing materials and events, and help process and maintain library collections. The position requires basic computer skills, the ability to follow instructions, comfort interacting with the public, and passing a security clearance. Work takes place mainly indoors, with some physical activity such as standing and lifting up to 50 lbs. No diploma or prior experience is required. Hours are up to 15 hours per week for 10 weeks of the summer. Salary is $14.50 per hour. Applications must be submitted to Human Resources by 5pm on May 29, 2026.
