Sealed bids for the Byers Well Improvement Project will be received by the City of Pendleton c/o Jeff Brown, Public Works Director, 500 SW Dorion Avenue, Pendleton, OR 97801 until 2:00 pm local time on the 12th day of February, 2026, plainly marked “Byers Well Improvement Project”. All bid documents shall be submitted in hard copy. Electronic or e-mailed submissions shall be rejected. Bids submitted after the above-specified date and time shall not be opened.

Bid award, with seven (7) calendar day notice of intent declaration, will likely take place on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at the regularly scheduled City Council meeting, 7:00 pm, City Hall, 500 SW Dorion Avenue, Pendleton, Oregon. This Project shall increase the depth of the Byers Well pump. This Proposal is to extend the column, shaft, and accessory tubes, by 40 feet, including associated bearings, and appurtenances. Additionally, the Proposal includes inspection of the existing pump bowl assembly column, discharge head, spider bearings, shaft, seals, and motor.
The Contractor providing pump removal and installation services shall be a certified well constructor licensed in the state of Oregon.
Engineer’s estimate: $71,000.00
