The purpose of this project is to repair a new, never used (other than initial testing with fresh water) sewer
lift station on NW York Lane located to the north of the Pendleton Airport. The existing sewer lift station was
constructed in 2020 with four 72” pre-cast manhole barrels totaling 21’ in height with self-lubricating gaskets
between each barrel and sealed on the inside with grout and reinforced epoxy. As-built drawings and
submittals of all materials used during original construction are included in the bid package for contractors to
review. The existing manhole barrels cracked presumably due to improper compaction of the base and backfill
aggregate which led to settling around the structure.
