New bike lane will replace curb parking by Pendleton Early Learning Center
Pendleton, Ore. – Traffic changes are coming to a portion of Southwest 13th Street to improve safety at the Pendleton Early Learning Center (PELC).
Over the next two weeks, the City of Pendleton will be installing a bike lane on the east side of Southwest 13th Street between Southwest Frazer Avenue and Southwest Emigrant Avenue. This bike lane will restrict parking on that block to allow safer movement for school busses at drop-off and pickup at the PELC. See attached image for new no-parking areas.
This parking restriction was requested by the Pendleton School District and is in line with the City of Pendleton Transportation System Plan (TSP). This bike lane will provide connectivity to the existing bike lane on Southwest 13th Street between Southwest Emigrant Avenue and Southwest Dorion Avenue.
