Pendleton Public Library Director Jennifer Johnson said Carlson’s books have been popular picks with library patrons.
“When we learned that Melody had family ties to Pendleton, we started looking into the books in our collection and adding newer titles,” Johnson said. “I’m hopeful that readers will have an opportunity to checkout a few of her books before the reading. She has a lot of titles for a variety of audiences.”
On Sept. 9, Carlson will present at the Pendleton Public Library to promote her newest novel. Once Upon a Christmas Carol releases Sept. 2, and Carlson will be bringing copies to the Pendleton Public Library for her visit.
In Once Upon a Christmas Carol, the protagonist, Carol Langstrom, plans a solo trip to the Bahamas for the holidays but instead finds herself redirected to snowy Michigan. Instead of a tropical vacation, Carol discovers a different kind of Christmas—one wrapped in love, family, and the genuine holiday spirit she's been missing her entire life.
Carlson’s presentation will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Pendleton Public Library, 502 SW Dorion Ave, Pendleton. After the presentation and reading, Carlson will be available for a meet-and-greet and book signing.
