Volunteens

The Volunteens Program at the Pendleton Public Library invites teens ages 12–17 to gain valuable job experience while giving back to their community. Through hands-on volunteer opportunities, Volunteens build practical skills, strengthen their resumes, and gain experiences to support future job and scholarship applications.

Why Join Volunteens?
  • Volunteens work in short shifts of up to two hours, making it easy to fit service opportunities into busy school and personal schedules.

  • Teens will build teamwork, communication, and leadership skills while earning volunteer hours that can count toward school or scholarship requirements.

  • Volunteens play a meaningful role in supporting the library, Parks & Recreation events, and the wider community.Volunteens-Guide.docx

What to Expect

Volunteens are responsible for tracking their hours and notifying library staff if they need to miss a shift. Teens accepted into the program will attend a required orientation event, learn about the different positions, participate in interviews, and be matched to a volunteer role that fits their interests and abilities.

Participating in Volunteens is a great way to learn new skills, make friends, and make a positive impact on the community. Learn more and apply today to secure a spot at the next orientation session!
